Phase of the Elephant

A really good friend of mine, recently showed me The Wild Unknown an oracle deck created by Kim Krans. I got to pull my cards for the year. Yes, I said the year! It’s quite the eye-opener to take Kran’s view of this.

“It’s “Animal Spirit” and not “Spirit Animal” for a reason!” …”Instead of focusing on your “spirit animal,” Krans invites us to focus on the elemental energies of each creature in a way that speaks to our relationships and to deeper parts of ourselves—once again, inviting exploration of the wild unknown of the soul.”

For February, I pulled the elephant. Generally, the elephant represents many things: good luck, prosperity, destroyer of evil, remover of obstacles. They also symbolizing strength, power, wisdom, memory, and vitality.

The elephant has been a big part of my life since I was young. My first trip to the zoo as a child was really scary. I had anxiety at an early age, so crowds were a little intense. We walked up to the elephant encounter and I saw a baby elephant. We locked eyes and she walked towards me. It’s like we were able to escape our surroundings to just us. She was scared of the crowd just as much as I was. Our connection was surreal. Since then elephants have somehow been a part of my life.

I believe that she has guided me so far and I hope that she continues to do so. She has been kind and diligent with me. She shows grace, understanding, and compassion. I am seeing life for what it is now. My intentions and manifestations are more present in my mind.

I am thankful for her as she has been the strength I have needed all along. The path has become clear. This gentle creature has cleared the way. So big it can move obstacles, trials, and setbacks without breaking a sweat. She has pushed me in the right direction. I can’t wait to experience and share it with you.
